Simple Strawberry Greek Yogurt Smoothie

Simple Strawberry Greek Yogurt Smoothie

This is one of my favorite times of the year. Not weather wise, mind you, but every season has it's silver lining. January's silver lining? A fresh start. A brand new calendar. Goals and hopes for the new year. While I'm not really a resolution person (don't you think we should be resolute all year round?), I do enjoy the extra motivation a new year brings. So here are my focus areas this month to get the year off to a good start.
  •  healthy eating (for the whole family!)
  • declutter/organize
  • stay on top of my email/schedule
That's it. Simple goals for a fresh January start. I know many of you have the goal of eating healthier this year too. Or at least you're looking to feel better after the extra indulgence that is holiday eating. This Simple Strawberry Greek Yogurt Smoothie could not be any easier to make and it's delicious!  It's also loaded with protein thanks to the greek yogurt, so you will stay full longer. Which means you can get back to decluttering! This protein-packed Simple Strawberry Greek Yogurt Smoothie makes a deliciously filling breakfast or snack!

Simple Strawberry Greek Yogurt Smoothie

Serves: 1-2
Ingredients
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1 cup plain greek yogurt
  • 1 banana
  • ¼ tsp stevia*
Instructions
  1. Place all ingredients into a blender and blend well.
  2. Enjoy!
Notes
Stevia is optional, but my kids like the little extra sweetness. You can use honey instead, or just omit all together if you are not using plain, unsweetended yogurt.

How about you? Do you make resolutions? What are your big goals for the year?!

Hi Teri! We have been dairy-free for years. My boys recently have been able to eat some yogurt, cheese, and butter. They are, much to my surprise, outgrowing their dairy allergy. It is a whole new world for them! Usually though, we use almond milk in our smoothies and I’m sure that would be delicious here. Happy New Year Teri!
