My “state of affairs” ….

As much as I love to blog, I am not the best at being totally transparent.  But sometimes I like to organize my thoughts by writing and this feels like one of those times. So here goes.

This weekend…I posted my usual meal plan on Saturday. To be honest, at this moment, I don’t even remember what is on it. Things have been a little off. I had a miscarriage this weekend. I was only 8 weeks. Physically I am feeling fine, just a bit tired. Emotionally I am good too…still processing, but overall I am good. It’s funny how you get attached to the idea of that little baby. However, I have 5 beautiful amazing kids here with me. I am so grateful for every one of them!

My State of Affairs this week....miscarriages, gratitude, and a healthy body.

Random thoughts… Over the last 6 months I have gained about 8 pounds. Not a huge deal and I have not stressed about it much. I think I started eating more because I tend to be a bit hypoglycemic. Also as my youngest started nursing less I probably just needed fewer calories. By the way, for the sake of total transparency, I still nurse my almost 2-year-old. And we love every second of it:-) Well, he is getting pretty acrobatic. But I digress….

Anywho, even though I am still digesting the fact that my womb is (for now) empty, I feel ready to jump into getting healthier. I had been doing Bikini Body Mommy workouts lately and really enjoying them, but I have not been as consistent as I had hoped.  I was sick for a week and have missed a few days now too. Long story short, I am starting the 90 day program again today. Check the workouts out on You Tube. They are all free and I really enjoy them! This is coming from someone who is not a big workout fan.

Join me?… In addition to that, I started the 21-Day Fix today. I have heard about this program recently and was intrigued. I don’t get into gimmicky diets. I just try to eat as healthy as I can. However, the more I read the more I thought this could be a great jump-start for me. It is eating real, whole foods! Which is exactly what I want to be doing anyway. Plus, it is only a 3 week program! So I ordered it yesterday on Amazon. Then I canceled my order. I realized that there is really a LOT of great info online and I think I can do the challenge on my own. Plus, I don’t need the workouts that come with the kit because I am doing Bikini Body Mommy right now. I am all about saving money where I can:-)

Well, there are some of my thoughts for the day. I hope your weekend was a little better than mine. But either way, this is a new week. I’m praying for a good one for you!

    Becky – thank you for your openness…I’m so sorry to hear your sad news. I wish I could bring you a meal this week. And good for you for working out with FIVE CHILDREN! How in the world?! You’re an inspiration, in more ways than one.

      Thank you Nancy. I appreciate that.
      Honestly, I am NOT usually an exercise person. Busy and active, but nothing official. BUT, I really like the Bikini Body Mommy workouts. I think because they are so short. And I always feel great when I am finished…minus a few sore days;-) Plus, the instructor does not annoy me so that is a bonus!
